Durante la 61° Asamblea Plenaria que se lleva a cabo del 2 al 7 Julio en la Casa Arquidiocesana María de la Altagracia, fue electa la nueva directiva de la Conferencia del Episcopado Dominicano (CED) por un periodo de tres años (2023-2026).
Cómo presidente fue elegido Monseñor Héctor Rafael Rodríguez Rodríguez, Obispo de La Vega, en tanto, Mons. Jesús Castro Marte, Obispo de Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia en higüey, fue elegido como vicepresidente.
