El presidente Luis Abinader anunció que saldrá del país este viernes debido a que su hija Adriana se gradúa de la Universidad en Estados Unidos.
El mandatario destacó que tendrá que quitarle a la política dos días para acompañar a su familia.
Además, manifestó a través de su cuenta de X que regresará mañana sábado.
“Mi familia ha sido generosa al cederme su tiempo para dedicarme a la política, porque juntos compartimos un compromiso con el pueblo dominicano. Pero ahora, debo quitarle a la política dos días para acompañar, en familia, a mi hija Adriana en su graduación universitaria en Estados Unidos. Estoy saliendo hoy viernes y regreso mañana sábado”, publicó el presidente en su cuenta de X.
El viaje del mandatario se efectúa justo dos días antes de las elecciones generales, en las que busca ser reelecto por el Partido Revolucionario Moderno, frente al expresidente Leonel Fernández (Fuerza del Pueblo); Abel Martínez (Partido de la Liberación Dominicana); Miguel Vargas (Partido Revolucionario Dominicano); Virginia Antares (Opción Democrática); Fulgencio Severino (Patria Para Todos y Todas); María Teresa (Frente Amplio); Carlos Peña (Generación de Servidores); y Roque Espaillat (Partido Esperanza Democrática).
