Manifestó que los partidos y la JCE deben nadar juntos en el “río de la democracia”.
El presidente de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE), Román Jáquez, le recordó a las organizaciones partidarias que ese organismo no es el verdugo en el proceso eleccionario.
“La JCE no es el verdugo del proceso electoral y si así ha sido visto, no debe ser el verdugo, por lo menos en el contexto constitucional y democrático actual”, afirmó.
Dijo que la función de ese organismo es administrar el proceso electoral y hacer respetar las reglas del juego “pura y simplemente”.
Explicó que cada organismo tiene su función, tanto los partidos, la JCE, el Tribunal Superior Electoral, el Tribunal Constitucional y el Tribunal Superior Administrativo.
“La JCE está para organizar y dirigir las asambleas electorales; artículo 212 de la Constitución y desde luego, el mecanismo de participación popular”, aclaró.
Jáquez habló al inicio de la “Cumbre Marco Regulatorio de la Precampaña y Campaña Electoral”, donde afirmó que la misma se hace más que nada para definir la campaña política de cara a las elecciones del 2024.
