El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) elevó a 14 el número de provincias en alerta como consecuencias de las lluvias y la incidencia de una vaguada asociada a un sistema frontal este viernes.
El COE colocó en alertaamarilla a siete provincias: Puerto Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Santiago, Dajabón, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat y La Vega.
A su vez, en verde están Samaná, Santiago Rodríguez, Duarte, Monseñor Nouel, Valverde, Elías Piña y Montecristi.
Esta medida la tomó conforme al boletín del Instituto Nacional de Meteorología (Indomet), que estableció “en las imágenes de satélite meteorológico se observan nubes de gran desarrollo vertical, generadoras de aguaceros moderados a fuertes, tormentas eléctricas y ráfagas de vientos”.

Incluso, la directora del Indomet, GloriaCeballos, colgó en su cuenta de X, una imagen en la que advierte una fuerte actividad de aguaceros con tormentas eléctricas sobre el litoral norte, noreste y región noroeste del territorio nacional, la zona donde se encuentran las provincias en alerta.
