El cantante estadounidense R. Kelly fue condenado este miércoles en Nueva York a 30 años de cárcel por crimen organizado y abuso y tráfico sexual, 9 meses después de que fue declarado culpable en un proceso que se prolongó 6 semanas y en el que decenas de personas testificaron en su contra.
La estrella del R&B de la década de 1990, cuyo nombre completo es Robert Sylvester Kelly, y que ahora tiene 55 años, escuchó los testimonios de siete mujeres, muchos de ellos entre lágrimas, que volvieron a recordar frente al cantante el sufrimiento y las consecuencias de los abusos a los que las sometió, informaron medios locales.
