La Comisión Permanente de Interior y Policía, que es presidida por el legislador Carlos Sánchez, invitó por primera vez al director de la Policía Nacional (PN), Eduardo Alberto Then, para hablar de las recientes muertes de civiles en destacamentos policiales.
Sin embargo, el titular de la institución del orden dejo “con el moño hecho” a los diputados.
En su lugar se presentó el ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús (Chu) Vázquez, quien justificó la ausencia del jefe de la PN a la convocatoria de la comisión.
“He venido a dar las explicaciones pertinentes, recuerden que la Policía Nacional, la Dirección de Migración y otras, están bajo la sombrilla del Ministerio de Interior y Policía”, dijo Vázquez.
